Overwatch League team Houston Outlaws named Infinite Esports & Entertainment Exec VP/Partnerships CHRIS DEAPPOLONIO President. The Outlaws had been owned by Infinite, but amid Immortals Gaming Club’s acquisition of Infinite, Immortals is divesting the Outlaws. DeAppolonio joined Infinite in ’18 after previous jobs at Genesco Sports Enterprises and Jack Morton Worldwide, and he will lead the team as they plan to host their first home games next season (Adam Stern, THE DAILY).

EXECS: John Hopkins Univ. promoted JENNIFER BAKER to AD, replacing ALANNA SHANAHAN, who was promoted to Vice Provost/Student Affairs (BALTIMORE SUN, 8/6)....The Wizards named Clippers Dir of Performance MARK SIMPSON VP/Player Performance (WASHINGTON POST, 8/6)....Loyola-Marymount named ASHLEY ARMSTRONG its first ever Deputy AD. Armstrong began her new role on Monday and now serves as COO of the department and Senior Woman Administrator (LMU)....UTEP promoted NICK POPPLEWELL to Senior Associate AD/Development & External Relations (UTEP)....Former Buccaneers Senior Communications Manager ALLEN BARRETT has joined the Tampa XFL team to lead communications and media relations efforts (TWITTER.com, 8/5).
