A portion of the beer sales will go toward N.C. State's fermentation science programnew belgium

In Raleigh, Drew Jackson noted a new N.C. State-themed beer "hit store shelves this week." Old Tuffy, made by New Belgium Brewing and the school, is part of a "five-year collaboration." The beer is "available statewide and a portion of sales will go toward N.C. State's fermentation science program." Cans of Old Tuffy "feature an older N.C. State strutting wolf logo and sport the school's color of red and white" (Raleigh NEWS & OBSERVER, 8/6).

SHARK WEEK: WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY's Jean Palmieri noted Greg Norman "has been named a global brand ambassador for Garmin." He will be "showcased in the company’s ads beginning later this month wearing Garmin’s Approach S60 golf watch, and Fenix 5X Plus outdoor smartwatch as well as the company’s Approach Z80 laser rangefinder and its Marq Collection of golf tool watches." Norman "will be featured in print, digital and social media channels." He will also "make personal appearances on behalf of the brand" (WWD.com, 8/6).

BALL IS LIFE: L.A.-based lifestyle basketball company Chance Athletics signed an official licensing deal with the WNBPA to create custom player-identified basketballs for fans. The first product to be released is a "Bet On Women" branded ball featuring player names and likenesses (Chance Athletics).
