Prokhorov Looking To Sell NYCB Live, Home Of Nassau Coliseum

Nets Majority Owner Mikhail Prokhorov is "looking to sell off control of NYCB Live, home of Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum," according to sources cited by Brian Lewis of the N.Y. POST. NYCB Live is part of the portfolio of properties held by Prokhorov's Onexim Group and run by BSE Global. Prokhorov has “interested parties” looking to buy NYCB Live, and those buyers are "interested in NYCB Live without [Prokhorov] letting go of Barclays Center." A potential deal "would not be able to take effect for some time because BSE Global signed a contract in December for four-plus years with Nassau County." A change in ownership "would mark the third lease holder of the Coliseum since Nassau County picked Forest City Ratner to refurbish the county-owned building six years ago." That renovation cost $180M for an arena that "seats just 13,900 for hockey" (N.Y. POST, 8/4).
