NBC Sports Regional Networks will simulcast its seven-month old daily gambling-focused radio show, “The Daily Line,” on RSNs in four markets starting Monday -- S.F., Chicago, Philadelphia and DC. To gear up for its TV debut, the show hired Sara Perlman from MASN as a third host, joining Michael Jenkins and Tim Murray. NBC Sports Radio launched the four-hour show in January in conjunction with Westwood One. The simulcast also will stream on NBC Sports website and via its app.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber reaffirmed that the league's next media-rights deal may include "more local rights of its teams in order to present a more attractive package for national partners," according to Tenorio & Stejskal of THE ATHLETIC. MLS' current media-rights package with ESPN and Fox Sports is set to expire in '22. Garber said, "I am convinced that our new media deal will include content and games that are not part of our packages today." He noted the RSN business "has not been a key driver of revenue" for MLS "like it is in all the other leagues." Garber: "I can see a world where we are going to market with double the number of games we have because we might be pooling those local games and finding ways we can offer them to a digital provider like an ESPN+ or any other over-the-top company and have a slate that might include 400, 500, maybe even 600 events" (THEATHLETIC.com, 7/31).

The AP's Joe Reedy noted NBC's EPL broadcast team "will be in England for the start of the season" for the third straight year. The net will feature "on-site coverage from three stadiums" from Aug. 9-11 as well as show off its "synergy" with Sky Sports News. The NBC crew of Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino and Robbie Mustoe will "visit training sites for two teams" and visit the EPL's VAR match center in London. NBC's coverage "begins on Aug. 8 with a transfer day deadline show in London before heading to Liverpool for the Aug. 9 opener against Norwich City" (AP, 7/31).

GOING DEUTSCH: ESPN+ is in the "final stages of picking up Germany's Bundesliga" to add to its "growing array of soccer offerings," according to sources. A package of games is "expected to be exclusively" on the streaming service beginning in '20-21. It "remains possible there could be some games on linear TV," but an "extremely high percentage will be on ESPN+." This year, U.S. coverage of the Bundesliga will be on Fox Sports, which "includes games on FS1 and the Fox network." But the German league in the future "should become ESPN+’s top soccer driver" (N.Y. POST, 7/31).

WATCH THE PROCESS: VARIETY's Stewart Clarke notes Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will "talk about the games that defined them" for DAZN's new "The Making Of" series. The docu-series is DAZN's "most ambitious original to date." In three half-hour episodes apiece, each of the personalities will "talk about the matches that made them." The new series "differs in that it will roll out across all of DAZN's services internationally." The streaming service is "currently in nine markets," and plans to "drop all nine episodes at once" (VARIETY.com, 8/1).
