James Dolan Throws Businessweek Reporter Out Of His Band's Concert

Dolan had a reporter removed from his band's show because his music is not about the Knicksgetty images

Bloomberg Businessweek reporter POLLY MOSENDZ claims to have been "kicked out of the Paramount, a small theater" in Huntington, N.Y., where Knicks Owner JAMES DOLAN's blues band, JD & THE STRAIGHT SHOT, was performing, according to Jared Schwartz of the N.Y. POST. Mosendz said, "He was not happy that a reporter had come to see his show." Businessweek had "contacted Dolan for an article about his tenure as owner of the Knicks and he declined comment." Mosendz then "bought a $38 ticket to see the show to add a paragraph on the band for the larger feature story on Dolan." Mosendz "approached Dolan before his set, but he quickly had her removed, insisting that since his music was not about the team, it should not be included in the article" (N.Y. POST, 7/27). SI.com's Jimmy Traina wrote the "saddest thing about all this is that there are never any repercussions" for Dolan (SI.com, 7/26).
