NFL Network Tees Up Two New Shows For League's 100th Season

Belichick will co-host a six-episode series naming the NFL's 100 greatest players and 10 best coachesGETTY IMAGES

NFL Network this fall will air two shows that it is producing for the league’s 100th season: “The NFL’s All-Time Team” and “NFL 100 Greatest.” Rich Eisen, Cris Collinsworth and Bill Belichick will host “The NFL’s All-Time Team” -- a six-episode series that names the league’s 100 greatest players and 10 coaches, as decided by an independent panel. “The NFL 100 Greatest” is a 20-episode series that identifies the best plays, characters, games, game changers and teams. The series will devote four hour-long episodes to each of those categories. The shows will air exclusively on NFL Network. Launch dates have yet to be determined (John Ourand, THE DAILY). Eisen talked about the show he is a part of during his radio program yesterday, saying he took part in filming the "super-secret" project in May. He said Belichick is "fantastic" in his role as an analyst on the series. Eisen: "This is not hype for the show. ... The number of players that would look across the table and not believe that Bill Belichick was sitting there as an analyst, as somebody who was praising their careers and was somebody who wasn't the person that you see behind the podium moving on to Cincinnati and being all business, being that guy, they're blown away.” Eisen noted each of the six episodes is "going to have members of the team that's being announced show up in person." He said, "The number of players that showed up and felt the emotion of being named to this team ... they are so overwhelmed by emotion" (“The Rich Eisen Show,” Audience Network, 7/23).
