NFL Media Notes: Jason Taylor Joins Dolphins' Preseason Booth

In Miami, Barry Jackson cites a source as saying that Pro Football HOFer Jason Taylor will join the Dolphins' "preseason television broadcasts as an analyst." Taylor replaces Nat Moore on WFOR-CBS' Dolphins preseason broadcasts, and will "work alongside Dick Stockton and Bob Griese." Moore "willingly relinquished his analyst role to make room for Taylor," who spent the past two seasons as the "primary Sunday Night Football game analyst on Westwood One's NFL broadcasts." The Stockton/Taylor/Griese booth will "call three preseason games" (MIAMI HERALD, 7/24).

HARD-KNOCK LIFE: In Las Vegas, Michael Gehlken noted NFL Films VP & Coordinating Producer Ken Rodgers will remotely "oversee a 32-person, Napa-based team documenting the Raiders' training camp and preseason" for this year's "Hard Knocks." Rodgers, who will be based in New Jersey, said, "I'm attracted to this team because it's a great football story. The personalities will be there." He added, "This is going to be one of the most football-oriented years that we've ever had because the stakes are very high at so many positions across the roster" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 7/21).

RUN IT BACK: Entercom and the Panthers have agreed to a new multiyear broadcast extension, under which Charlotte-based WBT-AM/FM will continue to serve as the team's flagship station. WBT sister station, WFNZ-AM, will provide promotional support. As part of the deal, former NFLers Steve Smith, Damione Lewis and Muhsin Muhammad will contribute to WFNZ segments (Panthers).
