Twins Owner Says "Major Upgrades" Coming To Target Field

Twins Owner Jim Pohlad said that 10-year-old Target Field is "due for major upgrades that fans will notice," according to Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE. Pohlad said, "We are getting to the point where items that were installed new in 2010 are beginning to wear out. The prime example of that is the scoreboard and the control room. We’re going to have to spend a lot of money on that to replace all of that equipment, including the main board.” On the Twins' attendance figures growing over the course of '19, Pohlad said that there was "never a doubt in his mind that if the club produced a winner, fans would come." Pohlad: "The fans are responding. We kind of thought they would always respond to a good team and a winning team, and they are. And the weather has been great, too" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 7/14).
