Predators Constructing Bigger, Better Bridgestone Arena Scoreboards

Predators President & CEO Sean Henry said that the scoreboards under construction inside Bridgestone Arena this summer "will be bigger -- much bigger -- and better," according to Paul Skrbina of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. Plans for the new scoreboard "began more than a year ago, 'the first tangible, most visible' part of the team's arena renovation plans on the heels of its lease that will keep the Predators there" until at least '49. The new scoreboards will be 292% bigger, offer a 424% "increase in resolution" and see a 1,787% "increase in LED pixels." Henry said that the new scoreboard is "scheduled to be operational by mid-August and will be live-tested at the end of the month." The scoreboards will be "synced with the LED boards that were installed before last season and are designed to give fans a better visual experience" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 7/12).
