Nike, Jeweler Swarovski Combine For Serena's Wimbledon Outfit

The brooch has a total of 34 Swarovski crystals to mark Williams' age when she last won Wimbledon in '16NIKE

Serena Williams' outfit for Wimbledon was "designed by Nike" with a detail from jeweler Swarovski, and the knitted white dress features a "sewn-on gold and Swarovski crystal brooch in the shape of the famous Nike 'swoosh,'" according to Emily Dixon of BUSTLE. The brooch has a "total of 34 Swarovski crystals, which happens to be the age Williams was when she secured her last Wimbledon title" in '16 (BUSTLE.com, 6/28). In London, Sabrina Barr noted the brooch "marks the first time a Nike Swoosh has been embellished with Swarovski crystals" (INDEPENDENT.co.uk, 6/28). Also in London, Sabrina Carder noted the brooch was "inspired by vintage decorative jewelry" (London EVENING STANDARD, 6/28).
