Anthony Davis To Sport Lakers Uniform On "NBA 2K20" Cover

NBA2K

Anthony Davis will be the "cover athlete for the second time" of "NBA 2K20," with the recently retired Dwyane Wade set to "cover the legend edition," according to the AP. Davis will be "featured on the front of NBA 2K20′s standard and deluxe editions." The six-time All-Star "shared the cover" with Warriors G Stephen Curry and Rockets G James Harden for "NBA 2K16" (AP, 7/1). In L.A., Arash Markazi notes Davis is "wearing a Pelicans uniform" in the cover's preview, but "folding his arms around a basketball to hide the team’s logo." Davis will be "wearing a Lakers uniform on the cover when the game is released" on Sept. 6. LeBron James agreed to wear No. 6 next season so Davis can wear No. 23, and Davis said, "Being from Chicago, [Michael] Jordan had 23 and he was my favorite basketball player for a while." Meanwhile, Davis and James already are "teaming up off the court, filming the sequel" to the '96 film “Space Jam.” James is "wearing No. 6 and Davis 23" in the film (L.A. TIMES, 7/1).
