The AP's Michael Marot profiled WNBA Indiana Fever VP/Basketball Operations TAMIKA CATCHINGS, who after nearly three years since playing her final basketball game is "establishing herself in a variety of new roles: Business owner and front-office executive." Catchings is the owner of Indianapolis-based tea shop Tea's Me Cafe and she "started the Catch The Stars Foundation, a charity that keeps her busy traveling the country in between all the other new gigs." Catchings also serves as co-Chair of Indianapolis' organizing committee for the '21 NBA All-Star Game, and in March accepted her current role with the Fever that "allows her to coordinate" the team's day-to-day operations (AP, 6/27).

NAMES: Texans C GREG MANCZ, WR VYNCINT SMITH, K KA'IMI FAIRBAIRN and LB CHRIS LANDRUM "participated Thursday in a Play 60 character camp in partnership with the NFL" and Pro Football HOFer ANTHONY MUNOZ. The camp "emphasizes football skills, exercise and the importance of character in athletics and life" (HOUSTONCHRONICLE.com, 6/27)....Bills DE SHAQ LAWSON "will pay for the funeral" of 11-year-old JA'NAIYA SCOTT, who was "fatally shot this week at her home" in Anderson, S.C. Lawson grew up in Central, S.C., about 20 miles north of Anderson (GREENVILLEONLINE.com, 6/27)....The Duchess of Sussex MEGHAN MARKLE is "expected to attend Wimbledon next month" to support her friend SERENA WILLIAMS (NYPOST.com, 6/27).
