Learfield IMG College Will Sell Advertising For Aloha Stadium

Learfield IMG College has reached a five-year deal that begins Monday "to sell advertising" at the Univ. of Hawaii's Aloha Stadium, according to Ferd Lewis of the HONOLULU STAR-ADVERTISER. The contract contains "options to renew up to three times in two-year increments." The company in '17 was "awarded a 10-year multimedia rights contract" by the UH athletic department. The school prior to that had "handled the accounts in-house." Outfront Media Sports, formerly known as CBS Collegiate Sports Properties, had "held the stadium rights for the past 10 years." Aloha Stadium Manager Scott Chan said that under its contract, Outfront "pays the stadium 40% of its advertising take." The new Learfield IMG College deal is for 45%. UH has been "permitted to sell and retain revenue from rail-side and on-the-field advertising" at its games at Aloha Stadium (HONOLULU STAR-ADVERTISER, 6/28).
