Raiders Tap AEG Facilities To Operate Las Vegas Stadium

AEG's multiyear deal will include booking, ticketing, security, event operations, concessions and HRRAIDERS

AEG Facilities has signed an agreement with the Raiders to manage the team’s $2B, 65,000-seat domed stadium scheduled to open in Las Vegas in August '20. AEG Facilities operates the team’s current home, now known as RingCentral Coliseum. AEG Facilities President Bob Newman would not disclose the length of the deal and its value, but said the agreement is for “several years.” AEG Facilities will manage the day-to-day operations of the stadium, including booking, ticketing, security, event operations, concessions and human resources, Newman said (Karn Dhingra, THE DAILY). In Las Vegas, Richard Velotta notes AEG Facilities' responsibilities will include "providing pre-opening functions, including overseeing the hiring and training of the venue's full-time staff and planning and executing the stadium's grand opening schedule of events and activities." Because of AEG Facilities' "relationship with other venues worldwide and its affiliation with other AEG subsidiaries," this agreement is "expected to enable the stadium to book concerts and other special events or tours" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 6/26).
