Buyers & Sellers: Vernon Wells Sells $8.5M Home To Rex Tillerson

Former MLBer VERNON WELLS has sold his home in Westlake, Texas, to former U.S. Secretary of State REX TILLERSON for $8.5M. The 2-acre estate outside Ft. Worth includes a more than 16,000-square-foot home that "sits on a private lake." It has "five bedrooms, seven baths and a five-car garage." There is a "media room, a catering kitchen, a game room and an elevator." Outside, there is a 90,000-gallon pool with a "swim-up bar and tennis courts" (DALLASNEWS.com, 6/13).

WEST COAST LIVING: Thunder G RUSSELL WESTBROOK has put his home in L.A.'s Beverly Crest neighborhood up for sale at $5.995M. The home's master suite "takes in city-to-ocean views from the second story." There are five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms (LATIMES.com, 6/17)....Former volleyball player KARCH KIRALY sold his home in San Clemente, Calif., for $3.55M. The 3,858-square-foot, four-bedroom house has a "multi-level, open concept floor plan" and "ocean and canyon views, heated towel racks in the master suite and a shower in the backyard" (OCREGISTER.com, 6/18)....Golden Knights G MARC-ANDRE FLEURY sold his Las Vegas home for $2.3M. The one-story, 5,285-square-foot home is in the Southern Highlands neighborhood (REVIEWJOURNAL.com, 6/13).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Former Virginia Tech football coach FRANK BEAMER listed his home in Blacksburg for $2.2M. The 8,781-square-foot custom-built home is located on "nearly two acres of land, has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms." The property features "four fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen (with double oven, wine cooler and pantry), a golf simulator, exercise room, hot tub and treadmill hot tub room" (RICHMOND.com, 6/13)....Pro Football HOFer BRIAN DAWKINS listed his home in Parker, Colo., for $2M. The seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion is "about an hour south of Denver." The house features some "pretty incredible views of the Rocky Mountains as well as intricate stone work throughout" (NBCSPORTS.com, 6/13)....Tigers P MATT MOORE listed his home in St. Petersburg for $1.99M. Across the home's 3,895 square feet, an "expansive great room anchors the floor plan." Topped by a "second-story catwalk, it holds a wall of windows and floor-to-ceiling stone backsplash." There are four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms (LATIMES.com, 6/15).
