The Univ. of Colorado system Board of Regents approved a new five-year contract for AD RICK GEORGE, which "begins July 1 and runs through June 30, 2024 -- includes an $850,000 base salary, as well as several supplemental benefits." He will "receive $3,500 in sponsorship support, $8,400 for a country club membership, a $7,200 courtesy car stipend and eight season tickets for football games, as well as eight season tickets" for all other UC home games. He can also "receive incentive funds of up to $995,000 for meeting academic, fundraising and attendance goals" (TIMESCALL.com, 6/14).

OFF THE COURT: WNBA Atlanta Dream F JESSICA BRELAND in addition to her basketball duties is also "running a business." Breland in October opened a wellness studio in Durham, N.C., that "offers a variety of therapies: cryotherapy, flotation therapy, infrared sauna and NormaTec Recovery." On her "off days from practice, she travels" to bR3, which "focuses on alternative healing." Breland missed the '09-10 college season as she suffered from Hodgkin's lymphoma, but will be cancer-free for 10 years in November (THEATHLETIC.com, 6/14).

THE GOOD STUFF:Rams rookies on Friday "painted their college’s logos at Belvedere Elementary School" in East L.A., where the team conducted its "annual community improvement project." The jersey dates to around the 1928-30 period, according to Hunt Auctions (ESPN.com, 6/15)….Tennis player CAROLINE WOZNIACKI married former NBAer DAVID LEE at Castiglion del Bosco in Italy on Saturday. The “star-studded guest list” included bridesmaid SERENA WILLIAMS and her husband,Reddit co-Founder ALEXIS OHANIAN, Bucks F PAU GASOL, ESPN’s JESSE PALMER and tennis player ANGELIQUE KERBER (TENNIS.com, 6/15).
