Celtics' Jayson Tatum Stars In New Animated Nike Ad With Son

A new Nike commercial features Celtics F Jayson Tatum and his son, Deuce, as the two "team up to fight crime" in the animated ad, according to Nick Goss of NBC SPORTS BOSTON. In the spot, titled "Defend the Arch," Tatum and his son are "equipped with the new Air Max 97 basketball sneaker releasing June 15" and together save Tatum's hometown of St. Louis (NBCSPORTSBOSTON.com, 6/11). USATODAY.com's Quenton Albertie noted the father-son duo in the spot wore "superhero suits that matched the sneakers." It is "one of the more unique Nike ads that have been created and is the type of content that will draw in a younger audience with its animated style" (USATODAY.com, 6/11).
