NBC Draws Strong Streaming Figures For Bruins-Blues Game 6

NBC averaged a total audience delivery (TV+streaming) of 6.62 million viewers for Sunday night's NHL Stanley Cup Final Game 6. The Bruins' 5-1 win over the Blues is down from the last Game 6 in '17 (Penguins-Predators, 7.09 million), but up from Penguins-Sharks Game 6 in '16 (5.48 million). NBC Digital drew an average minute audience of 141,000 viewers for the game, marking the second-best NHL streaming audience on record for the platform. Heading into Game 6, the Stanley Cup Playoffs across all NBC properties was down 6%. Heading into Game 7, the playoffs are now flat, and the Bruins-Blues series is down only 1% from the five-game Capitals-Golden Knights series last year (Austin Karp, THE DAILY). In St. Louis, Dan Caesar notes Game 6 drew the "best television rating for a hockey game on record" in the market, earning a 33.0 for KSDK-NBC. The city's "three highest-rated [hockey] games on record have come in this series." Game 6 "crushed what normally would be a ratings Goliath in St. Louis -- Cardinals-Cubs on ESPN's 'Sunday Night Baseball'" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 6/11).
