Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is investing in a "new venture and growth stage fund, Rx3 Ventures, focused on consumer brands," according to Kurt Badenhausen of FORBES. Rodgers' general partners in the fund are Roth Capital Partners' Byron Roth and Nate Raabe. All three have "invested seven figures into the fund, and they raised the balance" of the $50M fund. Rx3 is "backed by a deep roster of influencer investors, with many from the world of sports," including ESPN's Desmond Howard, former driver Danica Patrick and skateboarder Ryan Sheckler, as well as a "half-dozen NFL quarterbacks" including the Jets' Sam Darnold. The Rx3 founders "see influencer investors who can add value beyond capital from the world of finance and business." The fund has "made seven investments to date," including Prive Revaux Eyewear, helmet-maker VICIS and rowing machine Hydro. The fund "expects to make investments" in the $1M-3M range going forward, with a "focus on established brands" (FORBES.com, 6/5).
