A Milwaukee city attorney "would be authorized to offer $400,000" to Bucks G STERLING BROWN to "settle a lawsuit the player filed after being stunned by a Taser by Milwaukee police over a parking violation, under a proposed resolution." The filing "caught Brown's attorney, MARK THOMSEN, off guard." He said that there is "not a settlement," and that he "has not seen an offer of judgement and therefore doesn't know what the terms of any city proposal might be" (JSONLINE.com, 5/31).

EH FOR EFFORT: TBS’ CONAN O'BRIEN noted one of the show’s writers, LEVI MACDOUGALL, is from Canada and is a “huge Raptors fan.” MacDougall came on stage wearing a VINCE CARTER Raptors jersey, saying he has been a fan "since the Carter administration." MacDougall added, “I've got some Canadian trash-talking to do.” He said to one fellow staffer, “Warriors, eh? More like Golden State Worriers. And I'd be worried too if I was playing a team like the Raptors, eh. Hope that wasn't too harsh.” More MacDougall: “Hey Lisa, your team is lame. Good burn, right?
