IN MEMORY: Former Temple AD GAVIN WHITE JR. died Sunday at the age of 93. White, who served as AD from ’82-86, was in charge when HOF basketball coach JOHN CHANEY was hired. White served as Associate AD from ’66-82 before taking over as AD, and during his time at Temple, he “taught in the physical education and dance department” (PHILLY.com, 5/20).
