Syracuse Sells 6,000 New Season Tickets For '19 Football Season

Fewer than 4,500 season tickets remain available, including less than 300 in the Carrier Dome's first levelGETTY IMAGES

Syracuse AD John Wildhack said the school has sold 6,000 "new season tickets" for the upcoming football season, which features a home matchup against Clemson, according to Chris Carlson of the Syracuse POST-STANDARD. Last year, Syracuse sold 2,300 new season tickets. Season tickets currently start at $125, but in some cases, the "cost of the overall season-ticket hasn't been vastly different from the Clemson game alone, making season-tickets a relative bargain." Wildhack said that the school has "sold out of single-game tickets" for the Clemson game. However, Syracuse is "still selling tickets to the game as part of three-game packages and season-ticket packages." The school said that fewer than 4,500 season tickets are available, including fewer than 300 in the first level of the Carrier Dome. Meanwhile, Syracuse said that the stadium's renovation is costing $118M, but the "exact specifications of some of the amenities being added remains in flux," as do some of the details of the construction timeline (Syracuse POST-STANDARD, 5/7).
