First Five Call Of Duty Franchise Owners, Home Cities Unveiled

Activision Blizzard in a Thursday earnings call unveiled the "first five cities and owners for the upcoming geolocated Call of Duty" esports league, according to Trent Murray of the ESPORTS OBSERVER. With the announcement, OverActive Media becomes the "only organization to own a spot in three major franchised leagues," as it also controls an Overwatch League and League of Legends team (ESPORTSOBSERVER.com, 5/2). There currently "isn't a timeline for when additional teams will be announced" for the Call of Duty league (VARIETY.com, 5/2).
