Investors Raise $21.5M For Team Liquid Parent Group aXiomatic

Team Liquid parent group aXiomatic has raised $21.5M in "funding from undisclosed investors," according to Andrew Hayward of ESPORTS OBSERVER. A recent filing to the SEC does "not list the investors in this latest funding round." aXiomatic has seen a "steady flow of funding come into the company over the last year." In October, the company announced a $26M funding round that included investment from Michael Jordan. This followed a previous $25M Series B funding round last April, bringing last year's "disclosed funding" past $50M in total. Team Liquid has a franchised slot in the League of Legends Championship Series and also competes in games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. aXiomatic has also "invested in several other companies in and around the esports industry, including Fortnite developer Epic Games" (ESPORTSOBSERVER.com, 4/23).
