Trump Praises Redskins Owner, Says He Will Attend A Game This Year

President Trump indicated he will go and see a Redskins game "in person" at some point this season, according to Des Bieler of the WASHINGTON POST. Appearing on DC-based WMAL-AM yesterday, Trump discussed the Redskins and said Owner Dan Snyder is "really a good guy." Trump, "He's been a supporter, and he's done a very good job." Bieler noted Snyder was among "several NFL team owners who donated to Trump's inaugural celebration." Trump also had "plenty of nice things to say" about Redskins QB Alex Smith. He said, "The Redskins have a very good team, they need the solidity of the quarterback. I mean, unfortunately I think they had a really good quarterback, who got hurt." WMAL host Larry O'Connor ended the segment by "repeating his desire to see Trump attend a Redskins game." Trump responded, "Thank you very much, I look forward to it, and we'll go together" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 4/17).
