Tigers 1B MIGUEL CABRERA's investment in BitBits candy has turned out to be a "financial headache" for the baseball player. After Cabrera "fired and sued his former business partners, they responded last week with a suit of their own." Cabrera accused DANIEL SATINE and YAJAIRA GONZALEZ of "arranging costly sponsorship deals" with the Tigers and Dolphins. Cabrera's Miggy Foods said that it lost $2.1M on the candy investment (MLIVE.com, 4/16).

SAFE FOR NOW: Nike's BOD has "dodged a multimillion-dollar lawsuit in Oregon state court over gender discrimination in the company’s ranks -- at least for now." An Oregon Circuit Court judge on Monday "granted the Nike directors’ motion to dismiss a suit by a group of shareholders, who accused the directors of enabling a toxic corporate culture they claimed demeaned and hindered female employees." The judge "granted the motion without prejudice, which gives the investors the chance to file a new and improved complaint within roughly the next two weeks" (WWD.com, 4/16).

NAMES: A Dodgers fan "sued the team" yesterday, "alleging he was roughed up by security guards and broke an ankle during a game last year while trying to use the bathroom." DANIEL ANTUNEZ is seeking $2M in the lawsuit (AP, 4/16)....Cavaliers CEO LEN KOMOROSKI was inducted into the Western Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports HOF on Saturday (CRAINSCLEVELAND.com, 4/16)....Texans QB DESHAUN WATSON this offseason has "journeyed to five countries -- England, Austria, Italy, Egypt and China -- and put on football clinics." Among the cities Watson visited were London, Beijing, Shanghai, Innsbruck, Venice and Milan. He posted a picture on Instagram of him "standing on a camel in Egypt before he took a ride" (HOUSTONCHRONICLE.com, 4/16)....AVRAM GLAZER, whose family owns the Buccaneers and Manchester United, donated $200,000 to Speaker of the House NANCY PELOSI's (D-Calif.) victory fund (POLITICO.com, 4/16).
