Milwaukee's Best: Yelich Partners With American Family Insurance

Yelich's deal follows American Family’s naming rights agreement for the Brewers ballpark starting in '21AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE

Brewers RF Christian Yelich has become a brand ambassador for American Family Insurance, with an "emphasis on working together to help those in need," according to Madison-based WMTV-NBC. The American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation and Yelich will "partner to raise funds and awareness for a Milwaukee cause." Yelich could be "involved in a number of activities still to be determined, such as appearing in commercials, and at company and public events on behalf of American Family." The partnership with Yelich "follows American Family’s recent agreement" with the Brewers that includes naming rights on the team's Spring Training complex and the team's ballpark starting in '21. Yelich "joins other American Family brand ambassadors" such as model Kathy Ireland, Marlins CEO Derek Jeter, golfer Steve Stricker and Texans DE J.J. Watt (NBC15.com, 4/6).

SUPPORT WITH A BANG: In Milwaukee, Sophie Carson noted the city's July 3 lakefront fireworks show was "nearly extinguished this year after an April 1 deadline passed without any sponsors." Milwaukee businessman Ted Kellner "helped broker an eleventh-hour deal to save the show." It was revealed that Milwaukee County Parks is partnering with the Brewers, American Family and Kellner's company, T&M Partners, to "fund the fireworks show." Yelich is "also involved in the deal" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 4/7).
