MLB Promotes Longtime Communications Exec Matt Bourne

MLB has promoted longtime staffer MATT BOURNE to Senior VP/Communications, where he will help lead league communications across both baseball and non-baseball initiatives. Bourne, who joined MLB in ’08 after an eight-year stint with the NBA, previously was VP/Business Communications. He will continue in the new role to report to MLB Chief Communications Officer PAT COURTNEY. “Matt has been a trusted liaison to the public relations staff of our business and media partners. I am looking forward to having Matt’s perspective and involvement across an even broader range of MLB affairs,” said MLB Commissioner ROB MANFRED.
