Nike Releases New Ad Featuring Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry

Browns WRs Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry are featured in Nike's new "Shared Dream" ad, which "plays up their history together," according to Scott Patsko of the Cleveland PLAIN DEALER. The two have been "friends since high school and played together in college at LSU" before being "reunited in Cleveland" (CLEVELAND.com, 4/1). SI.com's Khadrice Rollins noted in the spot, the "similarities between the childhood best friends are highlighted to show just how much of their lives they had been working on the same tasks and accomplishing them on similar timelines." The ad "ends with a photo of the receivers from before they made it to the NFL" (SI.com, 4/1). USA TODAY's Andrew Joseph wrote the commercial is "well done and goes for the emotional reaction that we've come to expect from Nike ads" (USATODAY.com, 4/1). ESPN Radio’s Mike Golic Jr. said it was a “grade A Nike commercial.” ESPN Radio’s Trey Wingo described it as “choice” (“Golic & Wingo,” ESPN Radio, 4/2). NFL Network’s Nate Burleson: “Shout out to Nike, beautiful commercial” (“Good Morning Football,” NFL Network, 4/2). ESPN's Dan Le Batard said, "That’s a cool friendship. ... Those guys are tight, like unusually tight” (“The Dan Le Batard Show,” ESPN Radio, 4/2).

A FRIDGE TOO FAR: In Akron, Dan Kadar noted after the Browns yesterday officially introduced Beckham at a press conference, the team "tweeted at Bud Light telling them to get more refrigerators." Last season, Bud Light "installed locked refrigerators" at several locations that would "only open when the Browns won a game." Now, Bud Light "seems ready for it." The brewer tweeted back at the Browns: "We're feeling dangerous. Let's raise the stakes" (OHIO.com, 4/1).
