Investment management firm Legg Mason, which had "multiple signs in prime locations" at Camden Yards, has "ended its multiyear partnership with the team," according to Holden Wilen of the BALTIMORE BUSINESS JOURNAL. A Legg Mason spokesperson said that the asset management firm "ended the deal as part of a bigger move to exit all of its sports sponsorships." The company's name was "placed prominently in the center of the scoreboard, and it also had an ad on the left field side of the video screen." A Budweiser banner with the slogan "This Bud's For You" has "taken the place of Legg Mason's vertical ad on the left side of the scoreboard." A new sponsor is "expected to take the spot in the center." Legg Mason has "pulled out of sports deals before." It ended an 18-year run as the "title sponsor" of the ATP Tour's event in DC in '12. The company also previously "ended its sponsorship with the Orioles" in '09 amid the "economic recession," but came back in '14 (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/1). In Baltimore, Lorraine Mirabella notes Legg Mason has also "pulled out of its sports sponsorship" with the Ravens. The company "displayed its name on signage and rented a skybox through last season" at M&T Bank Stadium. Ravens Exec VP/Public & Community Relations Kevin Byrne said that the team will have some "new sponsors" for the '19 season and the "renewal process is progressing" (BALTIMORE SUN, 4/2).
