Plank's pay in '18 included a base salary of $26,000 and $4M in stock option awardsGETTY IMAGES

Under Armour Founder, Chair & CEO KEVIN PLANK earned $6.6M last year, a nearly 63% jump from $4M in '17, though the company placed the value of Plank's actual compensation at "about half that amount." Plank's pay included a "base salary of $26,000," $4M in stock option awards, $2.5M in non-equity incentive plan compensation and more than $10,600 in "other compensation." However, UA said that Plank's "total actual realized compensation" amounted to $3.4M in '18. That amount "represents the value he realized during the year, including the vesting of restricted stock units granted in prior years and the exercising of stock options granted in prior years" (BALTIMORE SUN, 3/28).

ART OF NO DEAL: Sources said that PRESIDENT TRUMP "never submitted a binding bid to buy" the Bills in September '14. Trump "did submit an 'indicative,' non-binding bid" for the team by the deadline of July 29, 2014. Trump was "advanced to the final round of bidding by Morgan Stanley." But he "did not follow through" in submitting a final, binding bid, "even though it was widely reported at the time and since then that he did, and as he himself has always publicly claimed in the face of widespread skepticism" (TORONTO SUN, 3/27).

NHL AWARDS: The NHL awarded its team business and innovative marketing awards, known as The Stanleys, this week in Detroit. The Flyers were awarded for the best marketing campaign with their launch of Gritty, while the Golden Knights were named the social media club of the year. The Maple Leafs were honored for best sponsorship activation for their “Canadian Tire Tested for Life in Canada” campaign, while the Blackhawks' "Making Strides" series was named best social impact and growth initiative. The Rangers' "Garden Moments" was named best ticket sales initiative (Ian Thomas, THE DAILY).

BIENVENIDO A MIAMI: Florida Gov. RON DESANTIS was in attendance at the ATP/WTA Miami Open yesterday. Former NBAer CHRIS BOSH was "on hand for the night session and did the coin toss for the late men's match." Mavericks F DIRK NOWITZKI also attended the tourney (MIAMIHERALD.com, 3/27). Others spotted at the event have included Vogue Editor ANNA WINTOUR, Dolphins Owner STEPHEN ROSS, WTT Washington Kastles Owner MARK EIN, and BLAINE TRUMP, wife of President Trump's younger brother ROBERT TRUMP (NYPOST.com, 3/27).

NAMES: The Univ. of Colorado and former football coach MIKE MACINTYRE, who was fired in November, have reached a settlement agreement that will pay him $7.238M to “close out his contract” (DENVERPOST.com, 3/27)....Falcons DT GRADY JARRETT donated his $50,000 collection for being the team’s Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee to Atlanta-area charities: the We Need 2 Read program and Ysportz, which puts together celebrity sports camps (AJC.com, 3/27).
