Turner PR Exec Sal Petruzzi Leaving After 16 Years With Company

Longtime Turner PR exec SAL PETRUZZI is leaving the company after a 16-year run. The Senior VP and Domestic Communications Officer told staff this morning about his decision. “It’s been a terrific journey, but the time is right for me to move on from Turner as the company begins to write a new chapter as Warner Media,” Petruzzi wrote in a memo sent to staff. During his Turner career, Petruzzi worked closely with DAVID LEVY, who earlier this month also announced that he was leaving the company. Petruzzi since ’14 oversaw communications for Turner’s U.S. businesses: entertainment networks, kids networks, sports, ad sales and distribution. As AT&T officially took control of Time Warner, the number of Petruzzi’s responsibilities dropped, and he decided to leave the company. Petruzzi ended his note by saying, “Good luck to everyone as you embark on this new road. It will be a journey filled with uncertainty, opportunity and excitement but with many chances to craft a terrific new story for a generation of fans.”
