Nike The Top Provider Of Apparel, Shoes In Women's NCAA Tourney

Nike once again is the top shoe and jersey provider in the Women's NCAA Tournament, despite losing some of its market share from last year. Nike and its affiliated Jordan Brand outfit 35 teams in some capacity (34 teams wear both Nike shoes and jerseys; Maine wears just Nike shoes). That is down from 40 teams last season and 39 in '17, and represents a significant drop from the 49 teams it sponsored in '15. Meanwhile, Adidas saw the biggest jump this year, climbing to 17 teams. Adidas' number represents a sizable increase from 12 schools last year and is up from 15 in '17, but is still short of the 18 schools it sponsored in '16. Under Armour stayed flat year over year, sponsoring 12 teams again. UA is up from 10 teams in '17 and nine in '16. New Balance remains in the rankings, as Maine wears its apparel along with Nike footwear.
