Mariners Show Off New T-Mobile Branding, Features At Ballpark

Mariners fans attending the newly branded T-Mobile Park will "notice some big changes," as the company’s magenta coloring is "prevalent on signage throughout the park, whether it’s the entrance to the ‘Pen Powered by T-Mobile, or the special entrance on the third-base line for T-Mobile customers," according to Scott Hanson of the SEATTLE TIMES. This is "clearly and visibly T-Mobile Park -- not Safeco Field -- starting from the sign that was being finished outside the entrance to the park to the huge one above the outfield scoreboard." T-Mobile is entering the first year of a 25-year deal worth a reported $87.5M to brand the ballpark, and it "added some other new touches, including 68 charging areas." Another is the Tech Experience Home Run Challenge, where fans can "hit a baseball off the tee and see the distances of their ‘homers’ in both 4G and 5G." T-Mobile said it partnered with the Mariners and Anu Apte to "create a disruptively light and refreshing signature cocktail" called the Magenta Mojo. The vodka-based cocktail "costs $12.50 and for an additional $3 it comes with lighted ice cubes" (SEATTLE TIMES, 3/21).
