Overnight Ratings: Players Championship Lower On NBC

NBC saw a sharp ratings drop for the final round of the Players Championship yesterday, as the event last year had Tiger Woods in contention on Sunday. Woods finished tied for 30th yesterday, while Rory McIlroy held off Jim Furyk for a one-stroke win. NBC drew a 3.3 overnight yesterday, down from a 4.2 last year when the event was held in mid-May and won by Webb Simpson. The 4.2 last year also was the event’s best figure since ’13.
