Executive Transactions

Korn Ferry Global Sports Practice Senior Associate KYLE BOWLSBY has left to start his own advisory firm in Dallas. Bowlsby was in his fourth year at the global search firm and worked heavily on searches in the college space. At Bowlsby Sports Advisors, he will continue with his work on executive searches and career development. There also will be a strategic consulting discipline to aid professional and collegiate organizations with revenue-generation solutions. "I have grown up around this industry," he said, "and my goal is to return advisory and search back to its intended purpose, which is not self-promotion, but instead working behind the scenes, helping clients build consensus with their stakeholders, design sophisticated strategies and ultimately make the best decisions for their organizations." He will also have a four-person advisory board of industry veterans: CHRIS BEVILACQUA, ERIC FERNANDEZ, KEN LUCE and PAT RICHIE (Michael Smith, THE DAILY).

SWITCHING GEARS: Motorsport Network is "making major changes to the executive structure" of 704Games, installing former CEO COLIN SMITH as President of the NASCAR video game licensee. Smith becomes president, replacing ED MARTIN, who will move to the position of Managing Dir of esports. Additionally, CEO PAUL BROOKS, a former longtime NASCAR exec, will move into a non-executive Chair role (SPORTS BUSINESS JOURNAL, 3/11 issue).
