Bleacher Report Hires MGM's Sam Toles As New Chief Content Officer

Bleacher Report has hired former MGM Senior VP SAM TOLES as its new Chief Content Officer, a move designed in part to deepen the site’s reach around millennial and Gen Z sports fans. Toles previously led MGM’s digital native content development and distribution for the past two years, and before that held a variety of exec roles with video sharing platform Vimeo. Toles will be based in N.Y. and report to Bleacher Report CEO HOWARD MITTMAN. His hire comes following a nationwide search aided by global firm Egon Zehnder, and while filling the CCO position has been contemplated for many months, Toles’ arrival continues a recent period of change for Bleacher Report that also includes the announced departure of co-Founder & CEO DAVE FINOCCHIO and the elevation of Mittman to his current position. “Sam’s appointment will be to continue to help us evolve our on-demand business through an increased investment in original content across video, podcasts, events and storytelling,” Mittman said.
