COURT REPORT: A federal magistrate has recommended that the U.S. Center for SafeSport and former USA Taekwondo national team coach JEAN LOPEZ be "dropped as defendants in a Colorado lawsuit filed by five female USA Taekwondo competitors who alleged they were sexually abused and exploited while training and competing on behalf of Team USA." However, it was recommended that certain elements of the case "should be allowed to continue" against Gold Medal-winning taekwondo competitor STEVEN LOPEZ, Jean Lopez’ brother, the USOC and USA Taekwondo, who "remain as defendants" (HOUSTONCHRONICLE.com, 3/6).
