INSIDE BASEBALL: In Miami, Wells Dusenbury profiles Marlins Senior VP/Strategy & Development ADAM JONES, who has "quickly established himself as one of the organization’s most influential voices and has spearheaded Miami’s aggressive offseason changes -- from Dímelo to ballpark enhancements to re-branding." Jones "helps formulate the team’s vision" and works to "move the franchise to the forefront of a radically changing sports environment." COURT REPORT: A federal magistrate has recommended that the U.S. Center for SafeSport and former USA Taekwondo national team coach JEAN LOPEZ be "dropped as defendants in a Colorado lawsuit filed by five female USA Taekwondo competitors who alleged they were sexually abused and exploited while training and competing on behalf of Team USA." However, it was recommended that certain elements of the case "should be allowed to continue" against Gold Medal-winning taekwondo competitor STEVEN LOPEZ, Jean Lopez’ brother, the USOC and USA Taekwondo, who "remain as defendants" (HOUSTONCHRONICLE.com, 3/6).

NAMES: OBB Pictures and Broncos LB VON MILLER are "teaming on a half-hour animated comedy project titled 'MARS MARTIANS', about the NFL’s first expansion team on Mars." Miller will "voice the lead role and serve as an executive producer on the potential series." It is the "latest sports-themed project for OBB, which also produces the interview show 'COLD AS BALLS' with KEVIN HART and previously was behind the go90 mockumentary series 'THE FIFTH QUARTER'" (DEADLINE.com, 3/6)...Turner Sports and Endeavor are partnering to present “Augusta at Night presented by Capital One,” a new music, food and golf experience taking place on April 12 -- the Friday of the Masters -- at SRP Park in North Augusta, S.C. The event will feature a concert by HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH (Turner)....Penguins co-Owner RON BURKLE is said to be “talking to Caesars Entertainment about buying the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino” in Las Vegas (NYPOST.com, 3/6).
