The WALL STREET JOURNAL's Benjamin Mullin reports new WarnerMedia Chief Content Officer Robert Greenblatt "joined several other top executives in addressing employees at a town hall" in the Time Warner Center in N.Y. yesterday. WarnerMedia Chair of News & Sports Jeff Zucker said that he "would maintain big sports properties" while looking for "emerging sports-media opportunities." He said he was interested in “new sports that will attract a new demographic ... that with the right business development can be developed into new properties that can be owned or licensed" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 3/7).

INTO ACTION: Insight TV commissioned two sports series from Vice Studios this fall. “Modern Day Gladiators” chronicles the esports culture. The other, which does not have a name yet, is about the origins of “street football,” or soccer. Vice Studios is producing the series in 4K in Benelux. Insight is available in the U.S. on cable outlet RCN and Layer3 TV (John Ourand, THE DAILY).

FRAME WORK: NBC Sports will present three episodes of the Bowlero Elite Series, three single-elimination tournaments featuring pro and amateur bowlers competing for over $1M in prize money this year across NBC, NBCSN, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. The first event will be televised on Tuesday, April 9, at 9:00pm ET on NBCSN.
