USL Expansion Club Austin Bold FC Unveil New Kit, Jersey Sponsor

A portion of the proceeds from every jersey will benefit the Dell Children's Medical Center FoundationBOLD FC

USL expansion club Austin Bold FC unveiled a multiyear partnership with locally-based Ascension Seton that will "put the health care provider's name on the front of the team's jerseys," according to Chris Bils of the AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN. The Bold committed to donate 5% of ticket sales and a portion of the proceeds from every jersey to "benefit the Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation." The jersey deal is the "first major sponsorship announced for the franchise." While the announcement of MLS expansion club Austin FC has "made for easy speculation that the Bold's time is limited, Ascension Seton leaders reiterated that they feel secure investing in the new team." Bold GM Roberto Silva said that other sponsorship negotiations are "ongoing, with more announcements expected before the home opener March 30" (AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN, 3/6). In Austin, Daniel Salazar notes the "exact value and length of the partnership were not immediately clear" for the jersey deal. Austin Bold "worked with business development and marketing agencies Innovative Partnerships Group and IdeaQuest" on the deal (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/5).
