The Blues are enjoying an 11-game winning streak, and the team's recent strong play is "boosting its television ratings," according to Nathan Rubbelke of the ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNAL. Blues games aired on FS Midwest this month are "averaging a 3.9 household rating," marking the "best month for viewership" during the '18-19 season. The ratings are "pacing above the team's season-long household rating of 3.4" for games the RSN. The Blues began their winning streak Jan. 23, and the team’s "three highest-rated games of the season have come since the first game of the run." However, the Blues’ slow start to the season still has "viewership totals down year over year." Overall ratings for Blues games aired on FS Midwest are down 18% "compared with the same time period last season." Meanwhile, Rubbelke noted though the team has only played three home games during its 11-game winning streak, each of those games has "drawn attendance higher than the team’s season average" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/20). The St. Louis market earned a 7.7 rating for Tuesday’s Maple Leafs-Blues game on NBCSN, the "highest rating ever for a regular-season Blues game: in the market on the net (STLTODAY.com, 2/21).
