Buyers & Sellers: Adrian Peterson's Houston Mansion Off The Market

Free agent RB ADRIAN PETERSON's Houston-area mansion, which has "waffled on and off the market for the last three years, is now listed pending." Peterson bought the property six years ago for $5.05M, and had it on the market for $4.7M earlier this month. The 10,582-square-foot brick house "sits on nine tree-filled acres" and has "five fireplaces, seven bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms." There is also a "center-island kitchen filled with brick, as well as two more kitchens outside." Other features include a "foyer with a sweeping staircase, a formal dining room, a living room with picture windows, a two-story library and a wine cellar" (LATIMES.com, 2/9)....Golfer LUKE DONALD sold his home outside of Chicago for $3.9M after first listing it in July for $4.5M. Donald bought the six-bedroom, 10,555-square-foot mansion in Northfield, Ill., for $3.725M in '08. The home has "eight bathrooms, five fireplaces, a butler’s pantry, a golf simulation room, a wine cellar, a workout room, and a bar and entertainment area." Outside on the "more than acre-sized property are a bluestone patio, outdoor fireplace, pool and spa" (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 2/13).
