In K.C., Pete Grathoff noted Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes "unveiled his personal logo" this week. The logo has a “P” and “M” and “II” because Mahomes "shares his father’s name." The reigning NFL MVP is also "selling T-shirts, caps, hoodies and beanies on his website, mahomes15.com" (KANSASCITY.com, 2/6). PRO FOOTBALL TALK's Darin Gantt writes Mahomes is "far from the first NFL player to have such branding," as Texans DE J.J. Watt, Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. and Seahawks QB Russell Wilson have also "followed the lead of Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods" in creating personalized logos (PROFOOTBALLTALK.com, 2/7).

ONLY WANNA BE WITH YOU: Musician Darius Rucker will become the PGA Tour's first formal brand ambassador, as he will take on a larger role across PGA Tour-owned channels, and appear more frequently as a commentator on PGA Tour Live. There will also be a PGA Tour presence on stage throughout Hootie & the Blowfish's summer tour via a custom branded vintage T-shirt and hat line launching in conjunction with the partnership (PGA Tour).

TAKE A SEAT: Esports organization Echo Fox "added Opseat as its official gaming chair partner," replacing Vertagear in the category. Opseat also has "deals in place" with NRG Esports and its S.F. Shock Overwatch League team (ESPORTSOBSERVER.com, 2/6).
