The Players' Tribune President & co-Founder JAYMEE MESSLER yesterday announced via an Instagram post that she is leaving the online digital publication more than four years after its launch. Messler in the post said she is "looking forward to seeing what comes next" for TPT. Messler: "I can't begin to express the love and gratitude I have for everyone a part of the Players' Tribune family, and to those who helped us create an innovative platform to amplify athletes' voices." Messler said details would be coming soon on her next venture (INSTAGRAM.com, 2/4). This comes after TPT recently laid off eight employees (THE DAILY).

Mariner's responsibilities with Imagination Park will center on new business developmentJONATHAN MARINER

MARINER FINDS A PORT: Augmented reality technology provider Imagination Park has brought on former MLB CFO JONATHAN MARINER as a Senior Advisor to CEO ALEN PAUL SILVERRSTIEEN. Mariner’s responsibilities will center on new business development. “Everyone’s interested in content and how to drive eyeballs,” Mariner said. “For teams, AR is a way to add value and technology to their sponsorship offerings without having to spend on technology R&D.” After serving as CFO for the Marlins, NHL Panthers and Pro Player Stadium, Mariner was MLB CFO and later Chief Investment Officer, from '02-16 (Terry Lefton, THE DAILY).

EXECS: The NBA promoted JEROME PICKETT to Exec VP & Chief Security Officer. The league also promoted Senior VP SCOTT LEVY to Exec VP & Managing Dir of NBA Asia (THE DAILY)....Mariners Dir of Professional Development & Assistant Dir of Player Development LESLIE MANNING resigned from the club on Jan. 16, less than "three months after being promoted to that position." Manning, 29, had been the "highest-ranking female member of the team's baseball operations department." She spent two years as Mariners Coordinator of Professional Development before her promotion in November (SEATTLETIMES.com, 2/4)....NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California named DAZN Senior Regional VP JUAN MAIO VP/Sales (NBCU)....Former Dodgers VP/Global Marketing & Partnerships JIM TUCKER has launched an L.A.-based sales, marketing and brand consulting agency, Highway 95 Sports + Entertainment (THE DAILY).
