Overnight Ratings: NBA Up On ABC Despite Absence Of LeBron

ABC on Saturday night drew a 3.2 overnight for Lakers-Warriors, up 52% from Rockets-Cavaliers in the same slot last year. The increase also comes despite LeBron James missing Saturday night’s game (he played in the same window for the Cavs last year). The 3.2 is the fifth-best Saturday night figure since started the primetime matchups during the ’15-16 season. Meanwhile, ABC earned a 1.9 overnight for Thunder-Celtics yesterday afternoon ahead of the Super Bowl, even with Lakers-Thunder in the same window last year.

NOTES: CBS drew a 2.7 overnight for the NFL Honors ceremony on Saturday night, up from a 2.4 last year on NBC, and up from a 2.2 on Fox two years ago....NBC drew a 2.8 overnight for the final round of the PGA Tour Waste Management Phoenix Open, which saw Rickie Fowler win by two strokes. That figure is up slightly from a 2.7 on CBS last year, which saw Gary Woodland hold off Chez Reavie in a playoff.
