PGA Tour Taps Alex Baldwin As New President Of Web.com Tour

The PGA Tour made ALEX BALDWIN the new president of the Web.com Tour, making her the first female to lead one of the Tour’s six global properties. Baldwin, currently VP/Marketing Partnerships for the PGA Tour, replaces DAN GLOD, who was named Senior VP/Global Sponsorship Strategy & Development for the PGA Tour. Baldwin joined the Tour in '17 as VP/Corporate Partnerships and also previously worked for CAA Sports, as well as a decade for Fenway Sports Management. Before that, Baldwin was a player agent, representing players like KARRIE WEBB and SUZANN PETTERSEN. PGA Tour Commissioner JAY MONAHAN called it a "watershed moment" for the Tour. Baldwin was an SBJ/SBD "Game Changers" honoree in '14 (John Lombardo, THE DAILY). Baldwin noted her career has taken her on a path "where I've been able to work with players, I've had experience working with tournaments, I've spend a great deal of time with our corporate partners and brands and working with them on their strategies in sponsorship and partnership." Baldwin said it "really allows me to be able to bring together all of that experience." Baldwin said at first, she wants to "get to know our players and understand what's important to them, how we can best serve their needs and their goals and their aspirations." Then "obviously the tournaments, our partners, the folks that really make this happen from the logistics and operational end" ("Golf Central," Golf Channel, 1/30).
