NFL Draft In Nashville Will Be More Fan-Accessible Than Past Versions

The '19 NFL Draft in Nashville will be "more accessible to fans than any draft in history," according to a front-page piece by Mike Organ of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. Not only will the Draft be "free to attend" as always, but the "lottery system, which limited the number of fans allowed to attend, has been eliminated." Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. President & CEO Butch Spyridon said unlike previous versions, this year will be "pretty much wide open access," and there will be "ample space." The Draft venue, which has "not yet been revealed," will be "sectioned off, and attendees will need to pass through security." All attendees will "need to download a ticket" through the NFL Draft - Fan Mobile Pass app, and a "different ticket for each day is required." Spyridon said, "Going wide open like this is a big departure for the NFL. It's exactly what we wanted, but wasn't sure we were ever going to get there." Officials "convinced the NFL that security would not be an issue" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 1/27).
