PepsiCo products would remain the official soft drink of the Univ. of Nebraska-Lincoln and the official soft drink of Nebraska Athletics under the terms of a new contract to be presented to the school's Board of Regents at its Jan. 25 meeting. LinPepCo Partnership, the Lincoln-area distributor for Pepsi, has held the beverage licensing rights for the school since July '97 (UNL).

TEBOW TRUCK: YAHOO SPORTS' Nick Bromberg noted "Run the Race," a movie Tim Tebow is "producing with his brother Robby that comes out on Feb. 22, is sponsoring the No. 7 truck" in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona Int'l Speedway on Friday, Feb. 15 (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 1/18).

BATS & BREWS: In Houston, Matt Young noted the Astros and Houston-based Karbach Brewing Co. have "teamed up on a new beer called Crawford Bock, which will debut at Astros FanFest on Jan. 26 and be available to the public beginning in March at stores and bars across the state," as well as at Minute Maid Park. A "portion of sales from every Crawford Bock keg and case will benefit the Astros Foundation" (HOUSTONCHRONICLE.com, 1/18).

ON THE BUBBLE: In N.Y., Chris Perez noted Big League Chew "launched its first-ever 'softball' line, which features new female packaging." The company "plans to send out shipments in the coming weeks as it prepares for the line's retail debut" (N.Y. POST, 1/19).
