Buyers & Sellers: Scott Boras Sells Newport Beach Home For $2.9M

MLB agent SCOTT BORAS has sold his home in Newport Beach, Calif., for $2.9M. Boras bought the Mediterranean-style home in '13 for $2.975M and "first listed the estate" in '15 for $3.525M. The home "opens to 4,150 square feet of hardwood-lined interiors." Arched doorways "navigate the living spaces, which include a two-story dining room, a center-island kitchen and a family room with built-ins and a fireplace." The home also has four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms (LATIMES.com, 1/16).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Former MLBer JAKE PEAVY has sold his home in a San Diego golf course community for $2.75M. Located in the gated Santaluz development, the '09 single-story house has close to 7,000 square feet of living space and includes a "game room with wine storage and a wet bar, six bedrooms and seven bathrooms." A bonus room can also be "used for an office, maid's quarters or a den." The more than 1.5-acre property "features a sport court, a putting green, a swimming pool and a freestanding covered patio with a dressing room" (LATIMES.com, 1/14)....Univ. of Kansas football coach LES MILES is selling his home in Baton Rouge for $1.495M. The four-bedroom and 4.5-bathroom house has a "L-shaped pool" and cabana (THEADVOCATE.com, 1/9)....Former Orioles manager BUCK SHOWALTER has sold his home in Lutherville, Md., for $1.4M. The 5,579-square-foot, two story home sits on 1.6 acres and has "five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms." On the main level, there is a "sun-filled foyer, dining area, office, center-island kitchen and living room with a stone fireplace" (LATIMES.com, 1/16).
