Buyers & Sellers: Lewis Hamilton Buys N.Y. Penthouse For $40.7M

F1 driver LEWIS HAMILTON purchased a penthouse in Manhattan's Tribeca district for $40.7M. It has "four bedrooms" and spans about 6,547 square feet, plus more than 3,000 square feet of outdoor space. The building, which is also home to Patriots QB TOM BRADY and wife GISELE BUNDCHEN, features an "82-foot-long swimming pool, a fitness center, a squash court, a library and a lounge where residents can host seated dinners and cocktail parties" (WSJ.com, 1/9).

ISLAND RETREAT: NCAA President MARK EMMERT is selling his home in Clinton, Wash., for $2.6M. The home is located on Whidbey Island and is "accessible by car or ferry." Built in '10 on 15 acres, the 3,243-square-foot house has "four bedrooms." The landscaped grounds include "views of the mountains and water, and feature two fire pits, a bocce court, pond and waterfall" (REALTOR.com, 1/9).

BEST UNIT ON THE BLOCK: Baseball HOFer RANDY JOHNSON will auction his home in Paradise Valley, Ariz., "without reserve," meaning he will "sell it to the highest bidder no matter how low the price goes." The five-acre estate features "hand-laid stone and Chicago brick exteriors, custom wrought iron accents, soaring coffered ceilings, stone columns and arched doorways." The home has over 25,000 square feet of living space, including "seven en-suite bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and a separate master wing." The amenities include a "gourmet chef's kitchen, a home theater, an entertainment wing with a recording studio, a live performance stage and collector's music instrument showroom." Outdoors, there is a "resort-style pool area, cabana, two-story waterslide, fire pit and a basketball court" (MANSIONGLOBAL.com, 1/8).

BUYERS & SELLERS: T'Wolves F LUOL DENG is selling his home in Brentwood, Calif., for $7.45M. Folding glass doors "expand to a wealth of patio space, and there are balconies extending from six of seven bedrooms." A "rooftop deck" creates 1,000 square feet of additional space. The 6,500-square-foot home features a "media room, a separate gym and a multi-room master suite." An elevator "services each floor." Deng bought the property in July '16 for $6.15M (LATIMES.com, 1/7)....Seahawks WR TYLER LOCKETT purchased a newly built home in Sammamish, Wash., for $1.97M. The 4,572-square-foot home features a "foyer with sweeping staircase, a living room with a built-in fireplace, a dining room and an office" (LATIMES.com, 1/6)....VENUS and SERENA WILLIAMS have listed a home they co-own in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., for 2.695M. The 8,489-square-foot dwelling has "six bedrooms and eight bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 1/5).
